Mini Raiders

Advantage! Barrow Raiders Community Foundation deliver rugby and multi skills to children aged between 2 and 5 years of age.

This is a new initiative, launched in November 2021, after a series of pilot sessions for the Barrow Bounce Back – Give Sport a Chance! initiative held during the summer as part of the match day festivals.

The sessions involve parental/carer participation, with focus on developing agility, balance, and coordination as well as ball handling skills, movement skills and social interaction, through fun games and challenges.

Although the rugby ball is used, a wide range of equipment is used as the coaching team aim to develop a whole range of skills needed for all sports and activities.

Our ambition for 2024 is to implement Mini Raiders into our schedule, and for it to be affordable for all families, so their children have the opportunity to be active and healthy, surrounded by fantastic role models from the Advantage! coaching staff.
