Community & Collaborations
The objectives of Advantage! are to improve the health and well-being of people in the Barrow and Furness area from nursery to ninety. The challenge is to reach those people who are needing our support the most.
We aim to do this by:
- Partnership working- collaboration with other organisations
- Targeting communities and individuals who are disadvantaged the most
- Supporting our community sports clubs- to raise participation levels
- For the Matt Jonson Prestige stadium to be a hub for community activity
- Engaging with community leaders to offer our expertise and facilities
- Developing links within schools to support teachers and provide opportunities for students
- To engage with local community events to help raise the profile
