Lee Edmondson
Lee has been involved with rugby league in the local area from a young age, playing for Holker Pioneers from under 7s right through to open age with Roose Pioneers following their merger with Roose in the late 90s, spending 20 years playing at the club.
He then played up at Millom for 4 seasons in the national conference league, before having to retire prematurely from playing due to a serious back injury.
He also has a passion for coaching and is currently the head coach of Roose Pioneers under 18s, moving up the age groups with the same team which he has been involved with since they were 10 years old.
In addition to this role he is also coaching the Roose Pioneers under 5s team where his son Jack is starting off his playing journey.
He is also involved with the Barrow and District league; where his role is to try and increase player participation and look at ways in which the league and cup competitions can be structured to aid player and team retention, this has involved introducing different playing formats throughout the season.
