I am a Mam of 3 girls in their 30s and 3 granddaughters and live in Barrow with my Partner.
I have been a Barrow rugby fans for many years and over the last 3 years volunteered at Home games in the board room doing the Hospitality.
I have worked for a national charity for 11 years called The Abbeyfield Society. They are a Housing Association that provides care and sheltered housing for the Elderly. They were set up in 1956 by one man called Richard Carr Gomme who wanted to reduce loneliness for the elderly. This is a cause close to my heart but I also wanted to be involved in a charity that was different to my working life . Knowing what the Advantage Team were aiming to provide within the community for all groups of people I was keen to get involved after having a good talk to Lisa Neild joined the committee late last year.
