Advantage! Community Coach/Health & Well-Being Champion

Job Role: Advantage! Community Coach/Health & Well-Being Champion

Most Enjoyable Aspect of the Role: The most enjoyable aspect of my role is the opportunity to inspire and motivate individuals of all ages and abilities through dance and fitness. I love creating a positive and energetic environment where participants can improve their physical health, express themselves creatively, and build confidence.

Biggest Achievement: My biggest achievement is auditioning and winning a scholarship to study at the Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, and graduating three years later. This accomplishment not only validated my passion and dedication to dance but also set the foundation for my career in teaching and fitness. The Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama is renowned for its rigorous training and high standards, making this achievement particularly significant

Best Sporting Moment: My best sporting moment was organizing and directing the South Lakes Community Dance Festival, which featured over 500 dancers from various schools and community groups. This event, supported by Ulverston Town Council and U-Dance England, showcased the talent and dedication of the participants and fostered a sense of community and inclusion.

Sporting Role Model: My sporting role model is Darcy Bussell. Despite her struggles with dyslexia, she became one of the most renowned ballerinas in the world. Her perseverance and success in the face of challenges are incredibly inspiring. An honourable mention goes to my Dad, Jimmy Armstrong, who played for Barrow AFC and has always been a source of inspiration and support from the comfort of the sofa.
